Deviation Actions
This group is largely a collective gallery, I'll admit. It's not as active as it could be.
So, I figure, why not use some of the features as a database for developers? I'm going to make a section for resources for animators on the front page for easy access. Here are some resources I've found useful:
---
Audio:
Flashkit is a resource site containing freeware and shareware files, including various audio loops and sound effects, as well as references for Action Script. www.flashkit.com/
SoundEffectFactory is a Youtube channel dedicated to providing free, high quality sound effects. They've got a ton: www.youtube.com/user/SoundEffe…
Kevin Macleod provides tons of music ROYALTY FREE as long as he's attributed. Overall an awesome resource. incompetech.com/
Stickpage has a compilation post of various weapon, action, and miscellaneous sound effects, all for free. forums.stickpage.com/showthrea…
Dan-O also provides royalty-free music for download, though there is an upfront licensing fee per song: www.danosongs.com/
Jimmy Gelhaar also has royalty-free music for free, requesting that you pay for a license for any commercial use www.jimmyg.us/
Lastly, Mixter features plenty of audio tracks that are available for free use from a variety of artists dig.ccmixter.org/
(Thank you for providing these last 3!)
Action Script Tools and Frameworks:
Adobe of course has extensive documentation and reference on AS: help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlat…
Newgrounds also has several valuable links and frameworks. www.newgrounds.com/wiki/creato… Their forum also is a great place to get help: www.newgrounds.com/bbs/forum/2
vCam: This device is an AS3 driven 'camera' (thank you for hosting it since its original source is long gone) dl.dropbox.com/u/43266019/rand…
-(Only compatible with CS3+) vCam allows you to position a movieclip within your animation. Wherever you position this window, it'll record in its field INSTEAD of using the stage area. This allows you to easily do zoom-in effects, pans, etc., so you don't have to edit the entirety of the stage. (Layer order irrelevant)
-AS2 variant available here, with slightly reduced functionality: dl.dropbox.com/u/43266019/rand…
Tutorials:
Introduction to Flash tutorials by OneyNG (Chris O'Neil):
These are some of the most succinct and helpful tutorials out there, and are what got me started in Flash.
Part 1 - Basics of Symbols and Tweening youtu.be/U0igv_BKikg
Part 2 - Introduction to Frame by Frame youtu.be/rKJqmVGqOuY
Part 3 - Audio and exporting youtu.be/JpNVipoV5kI
Extensions:
Toonmonkey has several flash extensions for various uses. Most are simple but make menial tasks (such as character rigging with libAppend) a snap. www.toonmonkey.com/extensions.…
Cloudkid has some of their own tools as well, one of the most reputable and widely used being Keyframe Caddy, which makes lipsynching a snap: cloudkid.com/tools
---
Other things I'd like to add to the list would be voice actor references, so if you or someone you know has a demo reel, post it in the comments and I'll make a VA list. (Do note I'll likely have to screen them to assure applicability, so just a forewarning not everyone will be listed for every role they think they can do. Overall acting ability and audio quality are two important factors to consider as well.)
If there's any resources you've found helpful, feel free to post them in the comments and I'll add them to the list.

Galleries Cleaned Up, New Folders!
Animation has changed a lot since this group started. Here's a list of what is new!
:bulletblue: Folders are updated to make sense for people who don't animate with Flash. "Short Toons" that tell a story but aren't long enough to be "Films" are separated out, so you don't have to go through a million 2 second animations to find an actual cartoon. The 2 second animations now go in "2D Loops."
:bulletblue: Featured folder is updated with what is worthy of being featured considering how much better everyone is at animating these days.
:bulletblue: Removed a lot of old art, broken links, etc. Looking through the galleries will be more fun now.
Animation Tools and Plugins (Flash)
I've compiled a list of useful extensions and plugins for flash animators. You can also view this list on my tumblr, in case formatting got screwed up: http://zedrin-stormshock.tumblr.com/post/39765359684/flash-animation-toolbox-guide
To install these plugins, download them, open up your Extension Manager, click ‘install’, and select the .zxp or .mxp file. There should be a description in each file of where to enable the plugin in Flash.
Toon Monkey (David Wolfe)
These are a collection of tools to suit your fancy. Most of them do single functions, so read their descriptions and decide what would be useful. I've listed some of t
